People try all kinds of things to help them find the best way to gain weight. They’ll trawl the internet for hours, trying to find that magical supplement that’ll help them achieve their goal quickly and easily.
But you have to know they’re looking in the wrong place. Sure, there are plenty of websites out there that will try and sell them a supplement that’ll enable them to pop a pill a few times a day or make up a drink of some kind to make it happen. They claim this is the best way to gain weight. But they are basically full of crap.
A diet and exercise program is the best way to gain weight
I bet you were thinking I was going to reveal something amazing you didn’t already know, huh? And yet the solution you’re looking for actually lies in your diet. Of course you have to have some kind of strategy in place here. You shouldn’t just start chowing down on any kind of food that takes your fancy, or running ten miles a day every day to start gaining weight. No, you have to plan ahead and figure out the best way to do it.

Most of us know that muscle weighs more than fat. So it makes sense that you should work on building up your muscles in order to help you gain weight. If we follow this path in a logical manner, we need to focus on activities that are designed to help strengthen and build muscle mass. For example this might involve weight training – but it has to be done in the right way for you. You can’t just go into the gym and try and lift the heaviest weights in there. You need a plan, preferably created by someone who knows what they’re doing.
What about food?
We all know that it’s important to eat healthily otherwise we’ll gain the wrong kind of weight. This is where some people go wrong. They think the best way to gain weight is to eat more junk food, more of their favorite foods and to eat as often as they can.
Well they’re partly right in that it pays to eat more meals every day. But each meal should be smaller and the content should be healthy. Think of high protein meals to give you energy to enable you to work out more and build that muscle. You can see how important it is to ensure you get the balance right here. You want to gain weight through gaining muscle, not fat. If you do the latter you won’t feel too healthy and it could be harmful to your health in the long run too.
So if you want to add some weight onto your frame, leave those pills and potions behind. Instead, make sure you create a program for yourself that focuses on exercising and proper foods. This alone is the best way to gain weight in a way that will give you the body you really want.
When you think about the millions of people in America who are desperately trying to lose the extra pounds they are carrying on their frames, the idea of wanting to discover the quickest way to gain weight might seem like a great problem to have.
Now you might be sitting there feeling delighted at the fact you want to put on weight. You might be thinking about all the great junk foods you could eat. But if you’re smarter than that you know that junk food is not the answer.
What about supplements?
This is often the second most popular solution people who are too skinny think about going for. It’s right up there as a potential solution alongside steroids. But please do not follow either of these routes. It’s not the best way to gain weight and it’s certainly not going to be any good for your body.
So what is the quickest way to gain weight?
The quickest way to gain weight is to embark on a bodybuilding diet and exercise program. Not only will this get you the results you want, it will also send you down a path that will keep your body healthy. This has to be better than taking lots of junk food on board, right?
But do your research before you embark on any kind of diet to bulk up your frame. A bodybuilding diet is the best one you can follow because it enables you to start an exercise program with the intention of building your muscle as well. The two aspects combine to give you the results you want.
For starters, focus on the kinds of foods you should be eating. Most bodybuilders will tell you that they eat high protein meals on a regular basis. High protein foods include egg whites, chicken (lean of course), beans and lean meats. But you shouldn’t focus on protein alone. You also need to ensure you build up your diet with good carbs to give you more energy for those workouts. Think wholegrain if you can – this makes it easier to spot the best foods for you. Keep fats to a minimum and make sure they’re healthy fats rather than saturated fats.
What about the workouts?
If you want to gain weight in a healthy way you have to build muscle. So it shouldn’t come as a major surprise to find that weight training is the best way to go about this. Resistance training enables you to develop and build your muscles to help increase your overall weight. Start with weights you feel comfortable with and aim to eventually build up the reps and weights in order to get consistent and ongoing results.
You can see that combining a bodybuilding diet with a good exercise program is the way to ensure you put on weight in a smart and healthy way. Just as with dieting, you won’t see results instantly, but the quickest way to gain weight is definitely by following this advice.
